AST are pleased to announce the newest of BGAN products from Thrane & Thrane, The EXPLORERâ„¢ 325

EXPLORER 325 is an ideal replacement for the mini-M Compact Car Phone and in addition to the quality voice communication; it offers excellent BGAN data capabilities with speeds up to 384 kbps standard IP and up to 128 kbps streaming IP.

The EXPLORER 325 antenna automatically tracks the satellite and works down to 5° elevation whether stationary or moving at speed across all types of terrain, providing global access

The EXPLORER 325 is suitable for a wide variety of applications and user segments from government and military through to NGO, humanitarian and field service use.

The EXPLORER 325 is designed for ‘on-the-move’ use and at 35 cm in diameter and 12 cm high, it sets a new standard for the size of vehicular BGAN antennas on the market. The system consists of three fully integrated units –EXPLORER Transceiver, Thrane IP handset and a roof mountable antenna with magnetic mounts. It is easy to install and simple to operate: simply place the antenna on the roof of the vehicle, connect it to the transceiver and the vehicle is turned into a mobile communication hub.
