Applied Satellite Technology Ltd (AST), are proud to announce the addition of Capricorn Satellite Communications, South Africa to its growing group of companies. Following the incorporation, Capricorn Satellite Communications will change its name to AST South Africa, forming an integral part of the group's corporate strategy to increase its global reach.
Capricorn Satellite Communications, based in Johannesburg, is a successful company with an established customer base. Managing Director, Ross Pritchard, has many years of experience within the satellite communications industry and will continue to run the AST South Africa operation after the name change.
AST are an independent supplier of satellite communication equipment and airtime with two offices in the UK and a further two independent offices based in Singapore and Australia.
AST currently work with many different market sectors including: government, military, maritime (commercial and leisure), broadcasting and media, oil and gas exploration, commercial fishing and recreational, supplying both 'off the shelf' and bespoke products and are committed to ensuring customers are kept informed of the latest developments in the market-place from Inmarsat, Iridium, Thuraya and Globalstar. AST ensure that equipment supplied meets specific criteria required to fulfill a project/contract, no matter how big or small.
