AST has announced today that the company has had its most successful year to date, reporting a turnover of over USD$84 million for the first time in the company’s 21 year history.
In addition, the largest global independent MSS supplier employs a staff of over 160 people worldwide with the potential to grow even further.
Investment into the companies Value Add Services has facilitated growth in all areas with significant focus on adding additional services and value into the maritime sector. Recent changes to the Board of Directors now see Sandy Johnson, formerly COO of Satcom Global and Mark Sykes from Inmarsat bringing their industry experience and enthusiasm to an already established, proficient team.
“The last financial year has been very successful, working with our partners and customers to surpass important milestones in our company's growth" added Gregory Darling, Managing Director of AST. "Backed by our strong portfolio of products, our services have successfully met many challenges, and we continue to help contribute to more customers' successes in many diverse applications spanning all market segments."
He continued, “I am delighted to announce AST’s best year ever, and with the full commitment of the new Board of Directors and staff throughout the group, we look forward to another record year ahead”.
AST was established in 1992 and continues to enjoy tremendous growth in all areas, providing equipment to both the land and marine sectors, including the provision of satellite airtime. This growth has come primarily from providing a reliable and trusted service. Listening to our customer needs and reacting with innovative and cost effective solutions has always been our number one focus, and we are delighted this strategy continues to reap long-term benefits.
